There is a chain of pizzerias in the Philippines called Yellow Cab Pizza. Yellow Cab Pizza, established in April 2001 by Eric Puno, Henry Lee, and Albert Tan, is owned by Max’s Group. The same company operates the Max’s Restaurant chain of fried chicken eateries. Currently, the chain has 159 branches in the Philippines and more abroad.

Yellow Cab History
The company’s original location for Yellow Cab Pizza was inaugurated in April 2001 along Makati Avenue. Many people mistakenly assumed that the chain was a taxi company because of its name, “yellow cab.” Still, the name refers to how frequently it uses black and yellow, a design seen on taxicabs in New York City. Vespa scooters are used in the delivery service of the company.
In addition, Army Navy Burger Burrito, a sister establishment of Yellow Cab, used to be open. The latter was separated as a separate company and was not sold along with Yellow Cab to Max’s Group.
Nov. 2016 saw Max’s Group Inc., the Yellow Cab Pizza brand proprietor, sign a development agreement with the Qatar-based franchisee Silver Group to open 22 locations in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman over five years, starting in January 2017. MGI has signed seven franchise agreements abroad so far in 2016.
