Based on his belief that “good food is a right and not a privilege,” Chef Robby Goco has become the most prominent figure in the Philippine restaurant industry. Chef Robby has a degree in Culinary Arts from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco and is the mastermind behind many iconic food companies. His engagement in the food industry spans over 20 years, from Tequila Joe’s to the Artstream executive team.
Chef Robby’s ability to branch out into other areas of the hospitality industry is evidenced by the fact that he oversees the kitchens of several different hotels, including the Vitalis Suites and Hotel Luna in Ilocos Sur, as well as the kitchens of Le Monet in Baguio City. But Chef Robby’s chain of casual dining establishments is where he made his name. Green Pastures, Souv by Cyma, and Cyma Greek Taverna Restaurants are just a few of the concepts owned and operated by his company.
Chef Robby Goco has been widely recognized for his business acumen and culinary prowess. His restaurant, Cyma, has won numerous prizes and accolades for his culinary prowess, including “Best Specialty Restaurant” and “Philippine’s Best Restaurants” from Philippine Tatler. Chef Robby was named one of the “Outstanding Filipino Retailers” for Cyma Greek Taverna, one of Summit Magazine’s “10 Outstanding Entrepreneurs”, and a Finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year.
