Chocolat’s mouthwatering dishes are the creation of Chef Denise, the restaurant’s namesake. Her family established the company KALAYAAN CHOCOLAT twenty years ago as a supplier of baking goods. Over time, the business transformed into a Chocolat bake shop after being inspired by the critically acclaimed film “CHOCOLAT,” which featured Johnny Depp and Juliette Binoche. Since 2003, they have limited the scope of their creative efforts to chocolate alone.

The head chef Denise received her Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the University of the Philippines. Her training and professional experiences include stints at Baskin Robbins in Virginia, United States of America; Seattle’s Best Coffee Research & Development; Dome Cafe; and Shangri-la hotels in Makati and Edsa, Philippines.
