The Chicken and Fries at BirdBox are highly recommended at this casual takeaway eatery that takes inspiration from Asian fried chicken joints. You can eat here relatively cheaply, and the food is simple and tasty. The food could be more spectacular and unique, but it’s better than average for the price.

The star of their chicken boxes is their boneless, golden fried chicken; the batter is light and crunchy, yet the chicken is still juicy. Chen, who also acts as head chef, created some excellent Asian-inspired sauces for the restaurant’s food. Chen explains that they take inspiration from traditional Japanese and Korean flavours when making their sauces but tailor them to the chicken and local taste preferences.
