The binalot approach entails packing or wrapping the food in plastic before storing it. The term traditionally refers to using banana leaves as a wrapping, particularly for dishes that include rice and other ingredients. When it comes to the packaging of food, Binalot only utilizes materials that are natural, organic, and biodegradable. It is done to ensure that their products do not contribute to pollution or the deterioration of the environment.

Rommel T. Juan, president and CEO of Binalot Fiesta Foods, co-founded the company with his brother and a friend and invested PhP50,000 in 1996, a year after he graduated from Dela Salle University with a degree in Marketing Management. In 1996, the company suddenly skyrocketed in popularity.

A few years later, they hired far more workers than anticipated. Nearly two hundred people found work in the company, and their families relied on them. Even though 1997 and the following years could have been smoother sailing, Juan and his partners ultimately chose to franchise the company. Binalot now has 30+ locations across the Philippines, each producing 200+ daily dinners.
